Meet Dovey
aka Carol Conlee

Barely tethered in this shifting, physical world, Carol Conlee achieved a Bachelor's Degree in Playwriting, Performance and Set Design from Texas Woman’s University. Odd choice for someone who had been in business since she was 8 years old.
The former owner of various residential rental and hospitality properties, as well as a highly popular, remote and lively Shakespearean Dinner Theater, Carol also openly owes much of her skills in performance presentation to her participation as an honored member of a once-touring comedy troupe called THE THROBBING SPATULAS. She also studied with the legendary humorist Jaston Williams, Texas’s own national treasure. Laughter is very good medicine and Carol knows how to deliver it. Her certification in Medical and Dental Hypnosis helps drive humorous points right to the finish line.
Coming from deep West Texas roots with loose soil, Carol’s imagination had few limits and a changing landscape of caregivers offered her a vast selection of lifestyles and alternatives not always available for those deliberately placed on a straight and narrow path. Much of her writing reflects these beautiful and diverse tangents through her colorful, wild and sometimes tart, but genuine words of wisdom.
Carol was suddenly and shockingly motherless at a very early age, which propelled her into her own self-reliant and forensic discovery of just how to eventually develop into maturity and womanhood, all while moving through the unenviable hardships of early childhood grief and abandonment. She learned well what discrimination meant; not all motherless children are welcomed.
By teaching herself how to navigate alone through the many legitimate development milestones, her empathic abilities and skills crystalized and eventually became more luminous as a result of making so many mistakes, but observing each of those shortcomings by powerfully recalibrating to hit the target of emotional and social growth. Very early, she sensed that there was a plan for something much more important in her life. The in-site of sharing of her own discoveries became her passion. Others that were searching, like she had searched, seemed to call to her to ‘show the way.’

As a result, Carol would further seek and discover methods used by ancient societies to heal spiritual diseases like grief. Carol studied throughout Central and South America, Europe and Asia, as well as the beloved American Southwest. She had deliberately studied with proven shamans in Mexico, Honduras, Costa Rica, Peru and Belize to further her knowledge and wisdom of the powerful spiritual laws that overly and compliment our physical beings.
Always seeking, always learning and so often applying the lessons that can bring about hull-cracking spiritual earthquakes, Carol has focused on the soft, subtle knowing of the senses by creating DOVEY’S GODDESS COLLEGE, which is a focus on, not only the aspects of the Divine Feminine in all of us, but the fun and helpful ways of inspiring the self, the subconscious and the luminous and savory sensuality that is deep inside the inner landscape that is the real, truthful beauty in all women. And that is the true beauty we should all seek to own.
As a goddess insider, Carol believes that there is a luminous warrior in each of us that is our ‘inner cowgirl goddess.’ That inner cowgirl goddess is just waiting for a ‘trail boss’ to say those three words that truly are the delicious call into action….GIDDY-UP, GODDESS!
